Are ALL Christians eternally saved?

Scriptures warn that only FEW Christians will be saved!

(Luke 13:23-28)  "Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, {24} STRIVE to enter in at the strait gate: for many [Christians], I say unto you, will seek to enter in, AND SHALL NOT BE ABLE. {25} When once the master of the house [Jesus] is risen up [after the Rapture], and hath shut to the door [of Heaven], and ye [the Christians left behind] begin to stand without [back on Earth], and to knock at the door [in prayer], saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: {26} Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence [at Communion], and thou hast taught in our streets [at home groups]. {27} But he shall say, I tell you, I KNOW YOU NOT whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. {28} There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out."

The comic story below illustrates what I believe is the spiritual journey many Christians follow in this life.

If you have believed that simply accepting Jesus Christ as your Savior is the same as being "born-again" as many preachers say today, this statement denies the following verses of scripture:

(John 3:3-5)  "Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he CANNOT SEE the kingdom of God. {4} Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? {5} Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he CANNOT ENTER INTO the kingdom of God."

Unless Christians succeed in experiencing the new birth as the Apostle Paul did on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:18), we cannot establish this personal spirit-to-spirit communication link with God.

I don't claim to have achieved the level of communication with God that scripture indicates He requires with us, however, now knowing these requirements, it helps me press on towards the mark for the prize of the High calling in Christ Jesus - the author and Finisher of our faith with more determination:

(Phil 3:14-16)  "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. {15} Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. {16} Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing."

(Heb 12:2-4)  "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. {3} For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds [when you have to endure the cross Jesus has waiting for you - Matt 10:38]. {4} Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin  [to eradicate it from your life - 1 John 3:8-10]."

The key point to remember here is that every Christian must "strive" in this Earthly life to get closer to God. If we are seen by God trying to draw near to Him, He will draw near to us:

(James 4:8)  "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you..."

God bless.

Supported Ministries

We endorse and support the following ministries:

This ministry uses 100% of the donations it receives to train and support indigenous Asians to share the Gospel with their people.  It is a wonderful ministry that is producing much spiritual 'fruit' in God's kingdom in the 'last days.'

This ministry has a long history of not only having its loyal supporters intercede by prayer for Israel , but of providing practical assistance to the Jewish people during their times of need. (Psa 122:6)
